Comprehensive benefits for the people we value most.

Tolmar proudly offers comprehensive benefits for all full-time employees who work more than 30 hours per week. Employees are eligible for these benefits on the first day of the month following, or coinciding with, the date of hire.

Medical

Tolmar offers comprehensive medical insurance with low copayments and deductibles.

Dental

The dental plan is a PPO that includes a network of participating dental providers. Dental insurance covers preventative, basic, and major restorative services.

Vision

Our vision insurance benefit includes eye exams, lenses, frames, contact lenses, and discounted services.

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Tolmar provides basic life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment insurance for you and your family members. Supplemental coverage is also available to employees and family members at competitive rates.

Short-Term Disability (STD)

STD coverage is designed to help you meet your financial needs if you become unable to work due to an injury or illness. This benefit has the potential to last up to 26 weeks.

Long-Term Disability (LTD)

Long-Term Disability (LTD) can be used in the event your disability continues beyond the short-term disability elimination period.

Health Services

Tolmar provides annual flu vaccinations, hosts blood drives and supports the occupational health of all employees.

Health & Wellness Discounts

Tolmar has a partnership with several gym locations to offer employees discounted rates on monthly gym membership dues.

Paid Holidays

Tolmar observes 14–15 paid holidays per calendar year for full-time employees.

Paid Vacation

Employees with tenure of four years or less receive 120 hours of paid time off (PTO) annually; five to nine years receive 160 hours annually; 10-24 years receive 200 hours annually; and 25+ years receive 240 hours annually.

Sick Time

Employees are granted 40 hours of sick time per calendar year.

Extended Sick Leave

Employees are allotted a set amount of 56 hours per year.

Birthday Holiday

Employees celebrate their birthday with a paid day off.

Volunteer Time Off

Employees are granted eight hours each year to volunteer for any not-for-profit organization of their choice.

401(k) Plan

Employees may begin to participate in the 401(k) plan immediately following their date of hire. Employees are eligible for the employer match starting first of the month following hire date.

Tolmar contributes a generous match to employee funds, up to a certain percentage. Once eligible for the company match, employees are immediately 100% vested in all employer contributions.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Tolmar offers employees two options for FSAs:

  • Health Care Reimbursement Account – This account allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars through payroll deduction to pay for eligible health care expenses.
  • Dependent Care Reimbursement Account – The dependent care account allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars through payroll deduction which may then be used for reimbursement of dependent care expenses.

Recruiting Bonus

Tolmar offers $3,000 to employees who refer a candidate that is subsequently employed by Tolmar for at least six months.

Health Savings Account

Tolmar generously funds HSA accounts for those employees who elect the High Deductible Health Care plan option.

Educational Assistance

Tolmar provides financial assistance to offset the cost of tuition and books for those eligible employees who wish to pursue courses within undergraduate or graduate studies while continuing to work at Tolmar. After one year of service, the company will reimburse up to $5,000 per calendar year if certain criteria are met.

Fertility and Family Forming Benefits

Tolmar offers fertility and family forming benefits including resources, support and financial assistance in the family planning process.

Legal Services

Tolmar offers legal services through MetLaw.

Identity Theft Protection

Tolmar offers identity theft protection through LifeLock.

Company Sponsored Events

Tolmar believes in giving back to its employees and the community through events like the Blue Shoe Run, Pride Picnic, the Prostate Cancer Golf Invitational, and ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk.

Travel Assistance

Emergency travel assistance is available when you travel more than 100 miles from your home.

Employees and family members are eligible for professional and confidential counseling services. Expert counselors can address issues including depression, marital and family conflicts, alcohol and drug abuse, grief and loss, landlord/tenant, and legal issues.

Tolmar offers pet insurance coverage for veterinary expenses related to accidents and illnesses.

Supplemental Health Benefits

Tolmar offers a line of supplemental policies. Employees may choose to enroll themselves, their spouse and dependent children in Accident, Critical Illness, or Hospital Indemnity Insurance.
