Early Loss of ATRIDOX During Treatment of Periodontal DiseaseQuestion
Does early loss of ATRIDOX affect clinical outcomes?Answer
In the clinical studies 11 , patients who experienced loss of their ATRIDOX® were required to return to the research center. A detailed account of tooth sites where ATRIDOX was lost and where it was still present was documented. A comparative analysis was performed on clinical gum attachment level gains and probing gum depth reductions in patients who retained Atridox for ≥ 5 days vs. those who retained for ≥ 3 days. There were no statistically significant differences between groups in measured clinical outcomes. This analysis indicates that short-term (≥ 3 days) application of ATRIDOX results in comparable gains in gum attachment levels and reductions in gum pocket depths in gum disease patients as a full course of therapy. | |
