Atridox Antibiotic Gel

A Non-Invasive Locally Applied Antibiotic Gel for the Treatment of Chronic Periodontal Disease

Early Loss of ATRIDOX During Treatment of Periodontal Disease

Question

Does early loss of ATRIDOX affect clinical outcomes?

Answer

In the clinical studies 11 , patients who experienced loss of their ATRIDOX® were required to return to the research center.

A detailed account of tooth sites where ATRIDOX was lost and where it was still present was documented.

A comparative analysis was performed on clinical gum attachment level gains and probing gum depth reductions in patients who retained Atridox for ≥ 5 days vs. those who retained for ≥ 3 days.

There were no statistically significant differences between groups in measured clinical outcomes.

This analysis indicates that short-term (≥ 3 days) application of ATRIDOX results in comparable gains in gum attachment levels and reductions in gum pocket depths in gum disease patients as a full course of therapy.
